Special Olympics would not exist today-and could not have been created-without the time, energy, commitment and enthusiasm of people just like you, individuals who choose to take time from busy schedules to make the world a better place.

Whether you are coaching an athlete or helping with paperwork, handing out awards or celebrating a victory, timing a runner or escorting them onto the track, you're touching the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. Special Olympics athletes work hard to overcome the odds and can do so with your help!

If you want to be involved on a regular or annual basis, please consider the options below:

  • Coach: Coach athletes on a team. Click here for more information.
  • Official, Scorer, Timer: Manage games and tournaments. NFHS is offering free courses for individuals hoping to become registered officials. Click here for more information.
  • Organizer of local/area/state competitions: Take a leadership role to help make our events successful.
  • Management Team Member: Serve on an area/local management team within the state of North Dakota in an administrative capacity.
  • Special Events Committee Member Assist with planning and organizing fundraisers or other special events to benefit Special Olympics on an annual-or more frequent-basis.
