Proper Dress for SOGF Practices and Competitions
    Jewelry:
    • No jewelry may be worn during practices/competition.  It is recommended that you leave all rings, watches, and earrings at home so that they are not lost.

    Shirts:
    • You must wear a shirt at every practice.  Shirts advertising alcohol or tobacco products and shirts with inappropriate language should not be worn.  Please do not wear mesh or other see-through shirts.  Also for safety reasons, please do not wear shirts that have buttons, zippers, or other hard objects attached to the shirt.
    • You will be provided with a jersey top for competitions.  At the end of the competition you must turn this jersey back into your coach.  Please bring an extra shirt to change into once you are done playing.  Most athletes wear a t-shirt under their jersey during competition.

    Shorts/Pants:
    • Athletes are encouraged to wear shorts during practices.  Athletes may also wear sweat pants or athletic pants.  Any shorts or pants with buttons are not allowed (Including jean & cargo shorts).
    • For competitions, we ask that you wear black shorts or black athletic pants as black/white are SOGF’s team colors.

    Shoes:
    • Athletic shoes are required to participate in all sports.  Sport specific spikes may be worn but are not required.

    • Please bring water bottles with to practices and competitions
    • Soccer athletes are required to have shin guards and long socks worn OVER the shin guards
    • Track and Field athletes should always bring a sweatshirt/jacket and sweatpants/athletic pants to practice.  Most of our practices get cold once the sun starts going down.  Having the right clothing will keep the athlete warm during the last few minutes of practice.
